Thank you Elizabeth for engaging in this critical work that you do.
This work of embodied anti-racist practice is powerful and grounding — and I’m grateful to ISAAC and Elizabeth for sharing it with us in Kalamazoo.
Elizabeth has led a healing whiteness group I’ve been in for over a year now. This work is challenging and sensitive, and requires being open and honest as we move through new insights, feelings, and revelations. I am becoming more and more aware of the many layers of white supremacy that is in the air we breathe and the water we drink. She is helping me see things I have not seen before, and she is challenging me to go deeper into myself to find ways I can truly become part of the solution rather than remaining part of the problem. It is often uncomfortable stuff, but I am grateful to Elizabeth for her knowledge and leadership!
Thank you so much for an outstanding verbalization of our situatulion.
